穿山龙概述
为薯蓣科薯蓣属植物穿龙薯蓣和柴黄姜的根茎，春秋采挖，去掉外皮及须根，切片晒干。生长于海拔300-2000m的山坡、林边、河谷两侧或灌木丛中，山脊路旁、沟边也有。《东北药植志》记载：“舒筋活血，主腰腿疼痛，筋骨麻木。”

《陕西中草药》记载：“主咳嗽，风湿性关节炎，大骨节病关节痛，消化不良，疟疾，跌打损伤，痈肿恶疮。”
穿山龙性状
【性味】 性平，味苦。
【归经】 归肝，肺经。
根茎呈类圆柱形，稍弯曲，表面黄白色或棕黄色，有不规则纵沟、刺状残根及偏于一侧的突起茎痕。质坚硬，断面平坦，白色或黄白色，散有淡棕色维管束小点，气微，味苦涩。
