Property
Sweet, cold; lung, stomach and large intestine meridians entered.
Actions
Moisten lung, resolve phlegm and lubricate intestines.
Indications
Cough due to phlegm-heat, dry-stagnation-type constipation, carbuncle, oligogalactia.
Dosage and Administrations

瓜蒌子概述(清肺化痰 滑肠通便)
为葫芦科植物栝楼及双边栝楼的干燥成熟种子。秋季分批采摘成熟果实，将果实纵剖，瓜瓤和种子放入盆内，加木灰复搓洗，取种子冲洗干净后晒干。
瓜蒌子各家论述
《本草汇言》记载：“瓜蒌仁，润肺消痰，消火止渴之药也。其体油润多脂，专主心肺胸胃，一切燥热郁热逆于气分，食痰积垢滞于中脘。凡属有形无形，在上者可降，在下者可行。其甘寒而润，寒可以下气降痰，润可以通便利结。”
瓜蒌子性状
【性味】 味甘，微苦，性寒
【归经】 归肺，胃，大肠经
呈扁平椭圆形，长1.2～1.5厘米，宽6～10毫米，厚约4毫米，表面灰褐色，外皮平滑，尖端有一白色凹点状的种脐，四周有宽约1毫米的边缘；外种皮坚硬，内含种仁2瓣，类白色，富油性，外被绿色的外衣(为内种皮)；闻之气微，口尝味甘，微苦涩。
