别名 萤石、氟石、紫石英
紫石英为卤化物类矿物萤石原矿石，全年均可采挖，捣成小块，生用或煅用。其略似玻璃紫石英，紫色块杖显角棱， 唯有硫酸能溶解。

据《纲目》记载：“紫石英，手少阴、足厥阴血分药也。上能镇心，重以去怯也。下能益肝，湿以去枯也。心主血，肝藏血，其性暖而补，故心神不安，肝血不足及女子血海虚寒宜之。”
紫石英性状
【性味】 味甘，性温。
【归经】 归心，肺，肾经。
为不规则的块状。全体呈紫色或浅绿色，色深浅不匀，半透明至透明，玻璃样光泽。
表面常有裂纹，质坚体重，不易碎，断面不整齐。气无，味淡。
