干燥种子呈长椭圆形而扁，长约3毫米，宽约1毫米；外表面灰白色或黄白色，有细小的顺直纹理；搓去外皮，即露出棕色的种仁，富油性。气弱，味微甘。以颗粒饱满，干燥无杂质者为佳。
