石菖蒲概述
为天南星科植物石菖蒲的干燥根茎。秋、冬二季采挖，除去须根及泥沙，晒干。
石菖蒲各家论述
《本草新编》记载：“石菖蒲，止可为佐使，而不可为君药。开心窍必须佐以人参；通气必须君以苍术；遗尿欲止，非加参、芪不能取效；胎动欲安，非多加白术不能成功；除烦闷，治善忘，非以人参为君，亦不能两有奇验也。”
石菖蒲性状
【性味】 味辛，苦，性微温。
【归经】 归心、肝、脾经。
根茎呈扁圆柱形，多弯曲，常有分枝，长3-20cm，直径0.3-1cm。表面棕褐色或灰棕色，粗糙，有疏密不匀的环节，节间长0.2-0.8cm，具细纵纹，一面残留须根或圆点状根痕；叶痕呈三角形，左右交互排列，有的其上有毛麟状的叶基残余。
质硬，断面纤维性，类白色或微红色，内皮层环明显，可见多数维管束小点及棕色油细胞。气芳香，味苦、微辛。
