别名 牛蜢、牛虻、牛蚊子、中华虻、白斑虻、灰虻
为虻科昆虫华虻及其同属多种昆虫和黄虻属双斑黄虻的干燥雌性全体，夏秋捕捉雌虫，捏其头部致死，晒干或阴干。全国各地均有分布。

【性味】 味苦、微咸，性凉，有毒。
【归经】 归肝经
干燥的虫体呈长椭圆形，头部呈黑褐色，复眼大多已经脱落；胸部黑褐色，背面呈壳状而光亮，翅长超过尾部；胸部下面突出，黑棕色，具足3对，多碎断。腹部棕黄色，有6个体节。质松而脆，易破碎。气臭，味苦咸。
