为唇形科植物猫须草的全草。全年可采，切段，晒干。
猫须草各家论述
据《常用中草药手册》记载：“清热去湿，排石利水。主急性肾炎，膀胱炎，尿路结石，风湿性关节炎。”
猫须草性状
【性味】 味甘，淡，微苦，性凉。
全草长30-70cm或更长，茎枝呈方柱形，节稍膨大；老茎表面灰棕色或灰褐色，有纵皱纹或纵沟 ，断面木质，周围黄白色，中央髓部白色；嫩枝对生，紫褐色或紫红色，被短小柔毛。叶对生，皱缩，易破碎，完整者展平后呈卵形或卵状披针形，长2-5cm，宽1-3cm，先端尖，基部楔形，中部以下的叶片边朋锯齿，叶脉紫褐色，两面呈黄绿色或暗绿色，均有小柔毛，叶柄长约2cm。轮伞花序每轮有6花，多已脱落。气微，茎味淡，叶味微苦。以茎枝幼嫩、色紫红、叶多者为佳。
