鹿茸草概述
为玄参科植物绵毛鹿茸草的干燥全草，3-6月采收，鲜用或晒干，生于低山多沙山地及草丛中。
鹿茸草各家论述
据《江西草药》记载：“凉血，止血，解毒，止痛。主急性胃肠炎，菌痢，牙痛，热淋，毒蛇咬伤。”
鹿茸草性状
【性味】 味苦，涩，性凉。
全体具银白色密绒毛，茎丛生，细而硬；叶稠密，叶片狭披针形，全缘，先端渐锐尖，基部狭窄无柄；花序具腺毛，苞片呈叶状，花单生于苞腋；花萼的筒部几与裂片等长，具10棱，裂片线形；花冠唇形，淡红色，喉部稍膨大，上唇盔状弯曲，下唇长于上唇，中裂片较长，雄蕊外露，子房具不完全2室，中轴胎室，胚珠多数。
蒴果包藏于萼内，长圆形，先端尖锐，具4条纵沟，成熟时沿一侧面裂开，种子多数，扁平。
