别名 乌饭果、乌饭子
为杜鹃花科村物乌饭树的果实，8-10月间果实成熟后采摘，晒干。
南烛子各家论述
《纲目》记载：“强筋骨，益气力，固精驻颜。”
南烛子性状
【性味】 味酸，甘，性平。
【归经】 归肝，肾，肝经。
果实类球形，直径4-6mm。表面暗红褐色至紫黑色，稍被白粉，略有细纵纹。先端具黄色点状的花柱痕迹，基部有细果梗或果梗痕。有时有宿萼，约包被果实2/3以上，萼筒钟状，先端5浅裂，裂片短三角形。质松脆，断面黄白色，内含多数长卵状三角形的种子，橙黄色或橙红色。气微，味酸而稍甜。
