莲子心各家论述
《温病条辨》记载：“莲心，由心走肾，能使心火下通于肾，又回环上升，能使肾水上潮于心。”
莲子心性状
【性味】 味苦，性寒。
【归经】 归心、肾经。
为莲子除去子叶的胚，略呈细棒状，绿色，长1～1.5cm，直径约2mm。其中幼叶2枚，一长一短，卷成箭形，向下反折；胚芽极小，位于两幼叶之间；胚圆柱形，长约1cm，黄白色。质脆，易折断，断面有多数小孔。气微，味极苦。
