Dosage and Administrations

《医学衷中参西录》记载：“鸦胆子，性善凉血止血，兼能化瘀生新。凡痢之偏于热者，用之皆有捷效，而以治下鲜血之痢、泻血水之痢则尤效。鸦胆子又善清胃腑之热，胃脘有实热充塞，噤口不食者，服之即可进食。”
鸦胆子性状
【性味】 味苦，性寒；有小毒。
【归经】 归大肠、肝经。
呈卵形，表面黑色或棕色，有隆起的网状皱纹，网眼呈不规则的多角形，两侧有明显的棱线，顶端渐尖，基部有凹陷的果梗痕。果壳质硬而脆，种子卵形，表面类白色或黄白色，具网纹；种皮薄，子叶乳白色，富油性。
无臭，味极苦。
