夏枯草概述(清肝泻火 明目 散结消肿)
别名 九重楼、铁色草、大头花
为唇形科植物夏枯草的干燥果穗。夏季果穗呈棕红色时采收，除去杂质，晒干。
常见的凉茶夏桑菊源自清代名方，三味药均通肝经，是独一无二的经典配方。
1980年，星群药业采用独家保密工艺，在全国首创夏桑菊，如今已经家喻户晓，并入选广东省非物质文化遗产。《滇南本草》记载：“祛肝风，行经。主口眼歪斜，行肝气，开肝郁，止筋骨疼痛，目珠痛，散瘰疬，周身结核。”

夏枯草性状
【性味】 味辛、苦，性寒。
【归经】 归肝、胆经。
呈棒状，略扁，长1.5～8cm，直径0.8～1.5cm，淡棕色至棕红色。全穗由数轮至10数轮宿萼与苞片组成，每轮有对生苞片2片，呈扇形，先端尖尾状，脉纹明显，外表面有白毛。每一苞片内有花3朵，花冠多已脱落，宿萼二唇形，内有小坚果4枚，卵圆形，棕色，尖端有白色突起。体轻。气微，味淡。
