马齿苋概述
为马齿苋科植物马齿苋，以全草入药。夏、秋两季当茎叶茂盛时采收，割取全草，洗净泥土，用沸水略烫后晒干。
现代研究表明，马齿苋还含有丰富的SL3脂肪酸及维生素A样物质。SL3脂肪酸是形成细胞膜，尤其是脑细胞膜与眼细胞膜所必需的物质；维生素A样物质能维持上皮组织如皮肤、角膜及结合膜的正常机能，参与视紫质的合成，增强视网膜感光性能，也参与体内许多氧化过程。

据《纲目》记载：“散血消肿，利肠滑胎，解毒通淋，产后虚汗。”
马齿苋性状
【性味】 味酸，性寒。
【归经】 归大肠，肝经。
全草多皱缩卷曲成团。茎圆柱形，长10-25cm，直径1-3mm，表面黄棕色至棕褐色，有明显扭曲的纵沟纹。叶易破碎或脱落，完整叶片倒卵形，绿褐色，长1-2.5cm，宽0.5-1.5cm，先端纯平或微缺，全缘。花少见，黄色，生于枝端。蒴果圆锥形，长约5mm，帽状盖裂，内含多数黑色细小种子。气微，味微酸而带粘性。以株小、质嫩、整齐少碎、叶多、青绿色、无杂质者为佳。
