为葫芦科植物黄瓜的种子,夏、秋季采收成熟的果实,剖开,取出种子,洗净,晒干。

《辽宁常用中草药手册》记载:“续筋接骨,祛风消痰;主骨折筋伤,风湿痹痛,老年痰喘。”
黄瓜子性状
【性味】味甘、性凉,无毒。
【归经】归脾、胃、大肠经。
呈扁梭形或狭长卵形,长8~12mm,宽3~5mm。表面黄白色,平滑,略具光泽;顶端较狭平截,中央有尖凸,下端尖,有白色种脐。种皮革质,从上端破开后可见膜状胚乳,子叶2枚,白色。气微,味淡微甘。
