香樟根概述
为樟科植物樟的树根，2～4月间采挖，洗净，切片硒干，不宜火烘，免失香气。
《湖南药物志》记载：“发表散寒，行气活血，消肿止痛。”
香樟根各家论述
《四川中药志》记载：“避邪恶，除风湿。主霍乱腹胀，宿食不化，手足风湿痹痛及疥癣瘙痒。”
香樟根性状
【性味】 味辛，性温。
【归经】 归肝，脾经。
为横切或斜切的圆片，直径4-10cm，厚2-5mm，或为不规则条块状，外表赤棕色或暗棕色，有栓皮或部分脱落，横断面黄白色或黄棕色，有年轮，质坚而重。有樟脑气，味辛而清凉。以片大、均匀、色黄白、气味浓香者为佳。
