大蓟概述
大蓟为菊科植物大蓟的全草，又名：大刺儿菜、大刺盖、老虎脷、山萝卜、刺萝卜等。
生于山坡、草地、路旁。夏、秋季割取地上部分 ，晒干或鲜用。
大蓟各家论述
据《中国药典》记载：“凉血止血，散瘀消肿；主肝炎，肾炎，乳腺炎，跌打损伤。”
大蓟性状
【性味】 味甘，微苦，性凉。
【归经】 归心，肝经。
干燥全草，茎圆柱形，粗约4～10毫米，表面紫褐色或褐色，有纵皱纹，密被灰白色丝状络毛，质松而脆；折断面黄白色，中央有白色疏松的髓。叶片多数脱落，残留的叶绿褐色或焦褐色，多破碎皱缩，边缘具不等长的针刺，质脆而易脱落；头状花序存留于枝端，管状花多萎落不存，总苞枯黄色，表面微带紫黑色，白色羽毛状冠毛外露。气微弱，味淡。以色灰绿、无杂质者为佳。
