甘草（种植）概述
甘草为豆科植物甘草、光果甘草、胀果甘草的根及根茎，于春、秋二季采挖，除去须根，晒干。喜阴暗潮湿，日照长气温低的干燥气候。
甘草（种植）各家论述
《药品化义》记载：“甘草，生用凉而泻火，主散表邪，消痈肿，利咽痛，解百药毒，除胃积热，去尿管痛，此甘凉除热之力也。
炙用温而补中，主脾虚滑泻，胃虚口渴，寒热咳嗽，气短困倦，劳役虚损，此甘温助脾之功也。但味厚而太甜，补药中不宜多用，恐恋膈不思食也。”
甘草（种植）性状
【性味】 味甘，性平。
【归经】 归心，肺，脾，胃经 。
根呈圆柱形，外皮松紧不一，表面红棕色或灰棕色，具显着的纵皱纹、沟纹、皮孔及稀疏的细根痕；质坚实，断面略显纤维性，黄白色，粉性，形成层环明显，射线放射状，有的有裂隙；根茎呈圆柱形，表面有芽痕，断面中部有髓。气微，味甜而特殊。
